Beginner/Intermediate 11-15 year-olds - September and October. This class can be taken with or without match play!
Located at Chanhassen HS
Beg/Int Tennis WITHOUT Match Play AGES 11-15 The emphasis of this class is to develop an enthusiasm for the game of tennis! The students in this class range from beginners to those that have taken previous classes, to those that have been in the middle school program. The focus will be on serving and being able to rally with proper grips and techniques. Increasing the student's athleticism, agility, balance, and fine motor skills will also be a key focal point. Please bring your appropriately sized tennis racquet and a water bottle.
Saturdays (2 class times) - September 12 - October 10 - 11:30 am-12:30 pm or 1-2 pm
The rainout makeup days will be on October 17, 24 and 31

Beg/Int Tennis WITH Match Play AGES 11-15 The emphasis of this class is to develop an enthusiasm for the game of tennis. The students in this class range from beginner to those that have taken previous classes/have been in the middle school program. This 90-minute class will consist of an approximate 1-hour skill building portion and then a 30-minute match play portion where you will learn how to keep score and play both singles and doubles against players of a similar ability level. Increasing the student's athleticism, agility, balance, and fine motor skills will also be a key focal point.
Please bring your appropriately sized tennis racquet and a water bottle.
Saturdays (2 class times) - September 12 - October 10 - 11:30 am-1 pm or 1-2:30 pm

Beginner and Beginner/Intermediate 11-15 year-olds - November and December
Located at Bluff Creek Elementary
Beginner Tennis AGES 11-15 The emphasis is to develop an enthusiasm for tennis! The participants in this class should be at the beginner level and for those new to the game of tennis. The focus will be on serving and being able to rally with proper grips and techniques. Increasing the student's athleticism, agility, balance, and fine motor skills will also be a key focal point. Please bring your appropriate sized tennis racket and a water bottle.

Adult Offerings In The Fall
Beginner/Intermediate Adult League - Located at Chanhassen High School
This league is perfect for the player with little or no tennis experience and those who play often at the intermediate level. Each day all participants will be grouped by ability level and there will be approximately 1 hour of stroke development (Forehand, Backhand, Volley, Serve, etc.) and approximately 30 minutes of practicing what you learned in a match setting against other adults of the same ability level. This class is a weekly signup and only those registered at the correct level will be able to participate in the drill. Confirmation must be received from Jim Mason and/or Community Education by the Friday before the drill in order to participate in the drill.
