Summer Tennis
Advanced High School Tennis - Location: Pioneer Ridge Middle School
In general the person for this class ranges in ability from the upper B-Team to the lower JV level tennis player who has played on the Chanhassen High School Tennis team. Each class will consist of developing all the tennis strokes, conditioning, and singles/doubles strategy through both instructor-fed and live-ball drills to further develop the skills which are needed to play on a high school Varsity or JV tennis team. This also includes weekly match play from 1-3 pm on Wednesdays.
Match Play - Match play opportunities will consist of Wednesday afternoons (home or away matches) from 1-3 pm against other players of similar ability from tennis programs in the western metro area. Transportation to the away matches is not provided but typically arrangements can be made to help with transportation if needed. Matches run from approximately June 14 – July 26 (No match on July 5th). There are no rain out days for the match play event.
To make the class more schedule friendly you may come to any 8 or all 11 classes which run on Mondays and Tuesdays AND ALL THE MATCH DAYS!
Mondays and Tuesdays; June 12-July 24. 1 - 3 pm
No class on July 3 and 4
Rainout days are July 25 and 31
