Advanced High School Tennis with matches

We offer a morning and afternoon option to accommodate busy summer schedules!

Advanced High School Tennis With Matches (Ages 12-18) - Location Chanhassen High School

In general, the person for this class ranges in ability from the upper B-Team to the lower JV level tennis player who has played on the Chanhassen High School Tennis team. Each class will consist of developing all the tennis strokes, conditioning and singles/doubles strategy through both instructor-fed and live-ball drills to further develop the skills which are needed to play on a high school Varsity or JV team. New this year will be the utilization of the ball machine so players can have more repetition learning each tennis stroke. This also includes weekly match play from 1-3pm on Wednesdays.

Match Play Portion-  Match play opportunities will consist of Wednesday afternoons (home or away matches) from 1-3 pm against other players of similar ability from tennis programs in the western metro area. Transportation to the away matches is not provided but typically arrangements can be made to help with transportation if needed. Matches run from approximately June 12 – July 31 (No matches on June 19th and July 5th). There are no rain out days for the match play event. The match play schedule for the first week will come out around June 5th.

Have a busy summer and can't make all 11 classes?  Please register to come to any 8 class days.  This still includes ALL The MATCH DAYS on Wednesdays!

Morning Option:

Tuesdays and Thursdays June 11-July 23. 8:30-10:30 AM 

No class on July 2 and 4

Rainout days are July 25, 30 and August 1

Use class number 6315.8 AM for 8 class days and 6315.11 AM for all 11 class days. 

Afternoon Option:

Mondays and Tuesdays; June 10-July 22. 1 - 3 pm 

No class on July 1 and 2

Rainout days are July 23, 29 and 30

Use class number 6315.8 PM for 8 class days and 6315.11 PM for all 11 class days.
